Ivana De Cicco was born in 1970 in Benevento, Italy.
In 1989, after finishing her studies, she moved to Milan and, driven by her deep interest in photographic research, she attended a course of photography at IED, Istituto Europeo di Design, where she specialized in portrait and fashion photography.
After graduating, she stayed in Milan to work as a professional photographer.
In 1994 she exhibited for the first time in Milan at Portnoy Café Letterario, a famous downtown meeting place for artists and intellectuals. In the following years she took part to various projects connected to the art in its broadest meaning, collaborating with painters and sculptors and thus dealing with different levels of expressive contaminations.
Her deep interest in the art made her focus on a series of researches first based on portraits and finally on the discovery of the nude, which properly represents the message that the artist wants to convey.
In 2006, she moved from Milan to the country in Benevento area, where she had more silence and concentration for her experimentations.
